When she spoke
The World stopped spinning,
whirling around through the Universe.
I fell into myself,
whirling around,
deep down.
Eternity passed.
Then came
a drizzle. Light
rain. More
rain. A
flood.
Trees began to blow in the wind.
Gently at first. A breeze. Then
gale. A
hurricane.
Trees toppled over, forever
changing the landscape.
A shark took a bite
when no-one was
watching,
even though we were always
looking.
The shark kept returning.
Hiding.
Behind our backs and in plain sight.
Such an unfair
fight.
Eternity passed again when
he spoke.
The truth became
true.
Time changed. The shark had
changed time.
Light rain and breeze
in the vacuum.
Floods and hurricanes.
The thought of sharks
makes me
spin. And
sink.
